Due to the recent Federal Government & other travel advisory announcements to restrict all non-essential travel across the U.S. / Canada border, our Travel Rewards Call Centre is experiencing longer than normal wait times. We understand how difficult this situation is and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Due to these high call volumes, we are asking clients to only continue to call if their matter is urgent.
Below are some options for you to change or cancel your upcoming travel plans:
For RBC clients who booked travel through RBC Rewards and require changes, please contact our Travel Rewards Call Centre at 1‑877‑636‑28701‑877‑636‑2870.
If you booked travel with RBC Rewards and are travelling up until June 30th, 2020, and would like to cancel, please do not call us at this time. Instead, please email RBCRush@service.rbcrewards.com and we’ll process your request.
In order for us to process your request, the following mandatory information must be included in your email:
By doing so, you authorize the RBC Rewards program to work with the travel provider to process your cancellation request in accordance with the travel providers policy. This may include a full refund, a travel voucher with the travel provider including specific rules, or other. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to the links below, to review your specific travel providers’ policy. If a travel provider is not listed, please refer to their site.
RBC Rewards will process your request, subject to all requirements above being included in your cancellation required. Due to the large volume of requests, it may take up to 60 days to process your request in partnership with travel providers. We appreciate your patience as we work as quickly as we can to serve you and process your request.
Please note that these conditions apply only to planned travel up until June 30th, 2020 and Online Cancellation Request Forms must include all information referenced above in order to complete the cancellation. RBC will waive any RBC Rewards fees associated with these changes, however fees may still apply per the travel provider’s policies.
If you booked travel with RBC Rewards and are travelling on or after July 1st, 2020, and would like to cancel, please do not call or email us at this time. In the coming days, we will provide additional guidance for travel booked after July 1st, 2020. This will allow RBC to focus on immediate travellers who need to return home and cancellation requests for the next 30-45 days.
You may still receive communication from your travel provider with check-in information, details on your flight etc. No need to worry - we continue to experience a significant volume of requests; however, we will ensure that your cancellation goes through. There is no need to follow-up with us at this time.

In accordance with the latest travel advisories, we are not recommending that clients book new travel at this time, unless it is to arrange for return travel home. If you are booking new travel, please remember to consider the following:

If you want to cancel a hotel reservation and receive a full refund and it is at least 24 hours before your check-in date:
Please note that due to the large number of cancellations, it may take up to 30 days for you to receive your refund.

Clients must contact their travel provider who made the original booking (i.e., RBC Rewards Travel Call Centre if Rewards points were used), in order to facilitate any changes or cancellations. To support you during this time, RBC Rewards will not be charging any RBC change fees. Please note that travel providers do have specific policies where change and cancellation fees may be applied.
